Festool has announced that they will be releasing their 2nd generation Domino Joiner on August 1st, 2009. The main difference between the new model and their incredibly popular original model is the square indexing pins on the face of the fence. Their is also a new base support bracket that features independent swinging stop pins for mortising closer to an edge. Their are also new smaller sized tenons available, with a size of 4 x 20mm with a matching 4mm cutter. these will be ideal for joining stock as small as 1/2" such as butt joints in drawer stock.
